However unintentional, Ben has become a Hero of Horror on several accounts. His quick wit and resourcefulness may have saved the survivors of Night of the Living Dead were it not for some unfortunate interference, but moreover, Ben has stood out as one of the first African American heroes within the Horror genre. He has earned his rank in the Horror Hall of Fame.
